It's gone and I can't get it back. I know how it went but that's a long story (not something I did).

Using the dialogue box "Select which icons and notifications appear on the taskbar" does not work. I rely on the sound/volume control to show up in the taskbar as I generally have it on mute. However when watching iView, I like the sound to be present.

Stuffed if I know...after mucking around with the "Behaviours" in the Customise>Show which Icons and notifications appear on the taskbar", I noticed a real quick Windows update in progress, and then I shut down and restarted. If it works for spaceships it works for our computers, right? Anyway I am delighted to report that I now have my Volume icon back in the task bar...also a "Solve PC issues" flag but no worries there...

Why can't we use smilies? I need one right here...
