Well haven't been able to keep up with all of this but by chamce trying to look up the archives I found Ihat you were here again YEAH. how are you ? I don't know where we left off. I have my back surgery and my husband had a triple by pass. We are hanging in there, Mr scottieK is doing well.

Hello ScottieK
:)
It is lovely to see you again too.
That's great news about your husband's progress.
How about your own?

YOu will see links at the top for the old HOliday Forum and Gardening Forums which you might have known.

Fish Slapping Maniac, an "old" forumer mainly from techtalk I think) has put this together since Nick's effort was canned by the ABC.

There isn't much to catch up on; people just went their own ways depending on what kind of forum experience they were after.

Ikeep an eye open and pop in fairly often when I am home.
I spend two days per week caring for new little grandkid and catch up with others when I can.
My bush block which I have been (and am) weeding since forever has been signed off by the Dept as eligible for Heritage Protection and is now with the Minister for his / her signature.

I am well ... and happy to see you :)
That's about all.

Why don't we ask the moderators to rename this thread ScottieK's Chat thread?
:D

Not necessary but actually I find it complimentary/ I have missed you all. I wish I was privy to what happened but not to worry I will catch up.
My last six month to a year was a night mare because "they" sent me to several independent specialists to try to keep me from having my needed surgery. My discs were impinging on my spinal cord and they threatened me with parapalegia. I was in good hands finally and had the surgery in Dec. and I am still in the healing stages. They said 18 months for a 2 level lumbar fusion with rods and srews. The prrevious surgery is a different story, the nerves have been so damged because of their ignorance (ignoring and stupidity) over so many years I still have the symptomes and will not get better " for as long as I have been hurt". Pain rules my day.
The new workers comp legislation has hurt many of us. It kills me because some tell me it is because people have miss used the old system. what ever you want to say about it O"Farrel is not my friend and just a warning; not yours.

I wanted to try stem cells but the cost is enormous and even tho it is a straght forward proceedure is out of touch for all but Packer and all the other billionares. They do not think it will change for 2-5 years. I can't win.
anyway, I keep trying to keep my mind on other things. My "Kids" are really well. My son is doing well working for Rail Corp as an IT engineer. My daughter fot her scholarship for her Phd in English and has written a play to be at the Seymour Centre in Sept. so I am proud.I need to go now but now that I found you again I can bug you. 8-)

I wasn't sure what you meant for a moment! Do you mean my signature? It's worth having a look, but it's not safe for work. (Just remember that it's my signature --- it's not directed at anyone!)

Here's a link to an explanation by legal blogger Jack of Kent. I won't cut and paste because the rude word filter will cut out the punchline.

Gday, how is everyone? Helix I have read a bit today. the print is very small, maybe part of the learning process but it has been hard to see how to get around. if I don't answer it is because I can't see what I am looking at. I feel like an idiot atm, trying to get used to all of this....

If you look up on the right hand side of this screen you will see something that looks like this... 93 ... click on it to change the size of the text on this page. Click it a few times and see what happens.

Hello, ScottieK! This forum is a bit slower than Scribbly because it's still accumulating members. If you click on the members list up there ^ on the top right, you'll see who's joined up.

I haven't found how to get email notification, but you can subscribe to threads by clicking on the User Control Panel up there ^ on the top left.

I've been off the internet for most of today because I've been switching from mobile broadband to ADSL --- and so many things didn't work! It took about two hours to get it all sorted.

Hopefully!

A very quick hello from me tonight ScottieK.

I am out in the scrub in the middle of Eyre Peninsula; I drove from Adelaide Hills, straight through, with a hello to an Auntie on the way for an hour (which was a good break).
Now I am ready for bed!

Luckily it is still made up from this morning (in ALF, my trusty campervan).

I will catch up on things better tomorrow night .. have a few things to cover tomorrow .
Good Night All.

ScottieK, do you know about holding the control key down and clicking on the + key? (or the - key if you want it made smaller?).
It's beaut and quick for any web page ... now *gone* or I'll fall asleep standing up!

oops! I do like the "edit" button here .. I see you already have that suggestion ... lucky I stopped driving eh?
