Pictures - April

Ruby spotted these fish feeding only a few meters from shore. There were dozens moving across a submerged rock ledge. They might be Australian salmon.

Possibly.

I'd be throwing a nice shiny thing with hooks past them and pulling it back in very quickly :)

They're at the same place every couple of days, and for weeks now. And it's not dozens, there's heaps more than that.
I see them when a wave rises up, and I've tried to get pictures, but my camera is not good enough.

And yes, I reckon a line with a shiny thing might do the trick.

We were walking around the bush this afternoon looking for more Aboriginal petroglyphs when I nearly stepped on this fella. Luckily he's a harmless diamond python (Morelia spilota spilota) about 2 meters long. He moved out of the way and went up a tree.

Pythons can still deliver a nasty bite and they don't clean their teeth either.

Rather than start a new thread - perhaps the name can change?

Went looking for something but could only find this little subject. Daddy Longlegs. The cephalothorax is about two millimeters long.

Uploaded here but larger images on my Flickr but as we know Flickr is a pain in the ...

verrrreeee nice, nut.
Tremendous detail.

And stan, I have only just got around to having a look at your pictures; I love them.
Whenever I look at other peoles' photos I can always see another way I could have looked at some of mine (for composing).
Gotta love the internet :)

We went down to the beach this afternoon and the whales were jumping out of the water.
