New 'jellybean' spider species found on Queensland's Darling Downs

It's a new genus -- Leichhardteus -- and eight new species, including L. garretti. L. terriirwinae and L. badius ('badius' = brown).

Actually, they're not that new. The paper came out in October 2013 (1.93 MB PDF). The same issue of the Queensland Museum Memoirs also has a few other spider papers. Worth having a bit of a browse through the issue. (Next link.)

Shame that the ABC managed to get Barbara Baehr's name wrong, but at least they were consistent about it. And to be fair, the QM managed to get her name wrong once as well.
