Some people come up in very painful blistered pimples, and occasionally a sting can trigger anaphylaxis. I've only ever copped a few at a time. 50 or so would be really nasty. I have a paper floating around somewhere that implicates Wasmannia in sending elephants blind!
The worst thing is that they're so small and are not aggressive so people don't notice them and we all know how gardeners love to swap plants. The humble pot plant can carry a lot more than most people seem to realise.
