Vale Harry Butler :(

Postby Teleost » Sun Dec 13, 2015 12:06 am

As a child, Harry Butler was one of my heroes. Way before Steve Irwin, and even before I'd seen an Attenborough doco, Harry Butler was on our TV screen "In the Wild". Harry bought Australia's amazing coastlines, rivers, deserts and tropical rainforests right into my lounge room. Along with my father, he taught me just how important and unique our wildlife and landscape is.

I'm sure I'm not the only one working in conservation that has this man to blame.

I know you're not.
My kids still have his books, they don't read them anymore. I don't think, but do talk about how he introduced so much to them (and to us. too)
