a new direction

Postby joey » Sat Apr 27, 2013 5:33 pm

Hi forumites.

jj you may be interested to know that next weekend we will catching and rehoming up to 150 animals from a property you are familiar with.
they were to be culled.
a team from melbourne uni zoology department are coming over to help and to rehome some of those animals for a non invasive reproductive study.

thankfully this kind of job will get less and less as national parks are drawing up policy that will force keepers to have breeding controls in place... yipee :)

and the new direction ? well....

we will still be doing all the wildife related work but i have enrolled in a uni course :)
if i can pass and get through 3 winters I'll get my bachelor of behavioual studies - psychology.

may 27th is the day i start and the nerves are building !

I'd say good luck, but it isn't luck!

It's strait out bloody hard work.

So best wishes for the studies and I take my hat off to you. You're going to be very busy and you'll love it, hate it, love it :)

I keep wondering wondering whether I'm going to be up to it, so I'm nervous but also really wanting to get started so i'll at least i'll know if I can ...i'm 56 now and it's been a long, long time since i last did any formal study. only time will tell.

as to the reading, well i've been doing that on and off for the last 18 years after my interest was piqued :)
